With a capacity factor of only ~10%, the UK would require ~72GW of photovoltaic input to fuel the EV fleet; over five times the current installed capacity. If CdTe-type photovoltaic power is used, that would consume over thirty years of current annual tellurium supply.
Da kann man fragen wie das wird, wenn alle Ressourcen dieser Rohstoffe in eine Sackgassen-Technologie geschüttet worden sind. Am Anfang des Artikels werden Zahlen genannt, dass die globale Umstellung auf E-Mobilität für die Produktion der Fahrzeuge allein ein Mehrfaches der jetzigen Förderung von bestimmten Rohstoffen erfordern würde. Da ist die Produktion von PV und WK noch gar nicht drin.
Aber dieses Wirtschaften kennt man ja schon: Nach uns die Sintflut.
