Kompromissvorschlag: 112

DrM schrieb am 21.10.2024 13:40:

The United States Air Force is the only operator of the F-22. As of August 2022, it has 183 aircraft in its inventory

Also die Orginalangabe ist von 2015:

Inventory: total force, 183
(Current as of September 2015)

Aktuell steht das da immer noch,
aber ob das in Bezug auf die Stückzahl noch stimmt,
ist wohl eher unwahrscheinlich.

"World Air Forces 2023" listet 177 in Dienst befindliche F-22:

2023 berichtet Popular Mechanics von 185 F-22,
von denen aber 32 eingemottet werden sollen,
da sie ohnehin nicht kampftauglich seien:

If Congress allows it, the service will mothball 32 of its 185 F-22s ... What’s more, the planes are early model production jets, known as Block 20 jets, that were built as training aircraft, and are not actually combat-capable.
...
The Air Force may have ended up with 187 Raptors, but that doesn’t mean it ended up with 187 fighting Raptors. The service always intended to build a significant number of F-22s to a less complex Block 20 standard—training planes that were incapable of real-world air combat. Unfortunately, as the number of Raptors was cut by more than half, the Block 20 jets made up a larger number of the overall fleet than originally intended. Although the Air Force received 187 Raptors, 74 were built to the Block 10/20 standard, incapable of combat, while 112 are so-called Block 30 and Block 35 “combat-coded” jets, fully combat ready.

Die Zahl 112 deckt sich auch relativ gut mit der deutschen Wikipedia-Seite zur F-22.
Es ist offenbar so, dass 40% der F-22 nie für Kampfeinsätze gedacht (bzw. gebaut) waren.
