Wie glaubwürdig das ist kann ich nicht einschätzen:

To turn the tide of the war, Ukraine will need to spend the equivalent of China’s $200 billion defence budget “three or four times” over, he says. This aligns with the assessment of senior British military figures, with one saying they think Ukraine needs another $300 billion to match Russia’s output.

Es wird auch auf die steigenden Weltmarktpreise für Munition eingegangen die mit Schuld sind.

The problem for Ukraine? These dealers know they have hit the jackpot and are exploiting the war to drive the price of weapons sky-high.

Before the interview, The Sunday Times obtained a list, compiled by Ukrainian sources with detailed knowledge of the procurement system, revealing how the cost of many key weapons has risen as much as sixfold over the course of the war.

These include Soviet-era 122mm Grad rockets, which are designed to rain down on enemy infantry, mortar and artillery positions. At the beginning of the war, dealers were selling them for $900 a shell; now they ask for $6,000, although Ukraine is getting them for $4,700 at the moment.

Others, such as 152mm rounds for D20 howitzers, long-range artillery, have jumped from $1,200 to $5,727, while 125mm tank ammunition has an asking price of $7,420, up from $1,200. Ukraine is still managing to strike deals for half this price, but soon it may have no choice but to accept.

Offenbar sind die Hauptgewinner Waffenhändler (Man wird an den Film "Lord of War" erinnert).
