Kokomo Soldier Dies From Heat Stroke
An army private from Kokomo has died after suffering heat stroke
while in Iraq.
Officials at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, say that 23-year-old Private
Robert McKinley died Tuesday in Homberg, Germany. He was transported
to Germany after suffering heat stroke while in Mosul, Iraq, in
mid-June.
McKinley was an infantryman assigned to the 101st Airborne Division,
based at Fort Campbell.
The Pentagon also announced yesterday that 38-year-old Sergeant
Craig Boling of Elkhart died Tuesday in Kuwait of non-combat
related causes.
