Polen, die DDR usw. hatten zwar sowjetische MiG29, aber auch nur die Exportversion.
Die MiG29 der SU (bzw, Russland) waren dagegen die "Professionalversionen".Und trotzdem bekam damals die NAZO die Schnappatmung, als sie erstmals die MiG29 der NVA testen konnten.

Die bisher einzige Konfrontation zwischen MiG-29 und F-16 während des Kosovokrieges 1999 endete jedoch mit dem Abschuss der serbischen MiG durch eine niederländische F-16.
