Von solchen "Schusseligkeiten" sollten BEIDE(!) Seiten dringend absehen

OK, "Fakeness" und "Viralität" schließt sich bekanntlich nicht aus, aber zumindest scheint an der Sache was dran zu sein:

...During an icy press conference after the talks, Lavrov said the two sides had found little common ground and that the talks contained “nothing secret, no trust. Just slogans shouted from the tribunes.” In a gaffe first reported in Russian media, Truss allegedly confused the Russian regions of Voronezh and Rostov with Ukrainian territory, repeatedly telling Lavrov that the UK would never recognise them as sovereign Russian territory. The British ambassador was later forced to step in to correct her, the Russian business daily Kommersant reported. Truss partially confirmed the account in an interview with Russian press: “It seemed to me that Minister Lavrov was talking about a part of Ukraine. I have clearly indicated that these regions [Rostov and Voronezh] are part of sovereign Russia,” she said, according to the British embassy in Moscow. Lavrov sought to present the British side as obdurate and unprepared....

Erinnert mich an meine Cousine, die ich nach einem flammenden Plädoyer ihrerseits fragen musst, ob sie wüsste, wo Syrien liege, und sie es in Nordafrika verortet hat. Ich bin aber zuversichtlich, dass sie nie den Weg nach Moskau finden würde ;-)
