Der springende Punkt hier ist das die einzige veraltete Fabrik die letzten 20 Jahre ausgereicht hat den gesamten Munitionsverbrauch des US-Militärs zu decken. Und das Pentagon sah eben keinen Grund ein dutzend Fabriken mit Miniaufträgen zu bestücken damit man diese Fabriken am Leben erhält und dafür das zehnfache an Kosten hat.
Und die "Konzentration auf Monopole seit der Clinton-Regierung": das ist das berühmte "Last Supper" im US-Verteidigungsministerium 1993 wo der Verteidigungsminister den Industriebossen erklärten das man mit Ende des Kalten Krieges jetzt das Budget zurückfahren würde, ohne Rücksicht darauf ob Unternehmen in der Verteidigungsindustrie das Überleben oder nicht.
