Dazu ein Kommentar von Jean Laherrère:
"Figure 25 illustrates the divergence between geologists, who know
that the discovery curve, shown in green, has been in decline since
1980, and the economists who have access only to the brown curve
which has grown for fifty years due to political factors and changing
definitions. The Extra-Heavy oil reserves of Athabaska in Canada and
the Orinoco in Venezuela must be added separately, the resource
having been known (and produced) for many years. The profile of Non
Conventional Reserves is of little significance because it is size of
the tap, which is both costly and slow to install, that matters more
than the size of resource itself."
Um den längst überschrittenen Peak zu vertuschen wird also Zeugs
dazugerechnet, das realistisch nicht gefördert werden kann.
